Hi there! I’m Lisa Braithwaite, M. A., Public Speaking Coach and Trainer. I’ve been coaching, training and mentoring entrepreneurs and professionals since 2005 to help them create memorable and engaging presentations in order to build their businesses through speaking.
Sometimes my clients are working on high-stakes presentations or workshops that will provide greater visibility in the world and a chance to get known for their work and their message. Sometimes my clients are simply wanting to be seen and heard at their networking meetings in order to make a connection with their peers. Some of my clients get paid for speaking; others speak in their jobs or for their business.
No matter what level you’re at in your speaking, there’s one thing that all speakers can benefit from: Creating and following a clear vision and plan for how to achieve our speaking goals!
Why visioning?
What do you want to achieve with your speaking over the rest of this year and into the next? Grow your credibility as an expert in your field? Gain clients and fans? Promote your book, your program, your product? Create a new speech for a new audience that will propel you to a whole new level of visibility? Refresh a languishing income stream? Repurpose your content into new offerings?
In order to achieve the success that you’re seeking – as you define it – you must create a vision of that success. If you don’t know what you want, it’s going to be difficult to create a plan or a path to get there.
Now, I happen to believe that just creating a vision isn’t enough. You have to take tangible actions that will lead you to that final destination. Creating a vision helps give you focus and direction; it reminds you of what you want and of what you don’t want, so you can avoid the distractions and “bright shiny objects” that lure you away from your path.
Sometimes it seems like there are endless possibilities and opportunities, and you don’t know how to choose or even how to narrow down your choices.
Creating a vision allows you to say “no” to those opportunities that don’t fit and “yes” to those that do. It gives you a framework to narrow down the possibilities and make informed decisions.

The Strategic Speaking Private Visioning Retreat provides a private individual coaching environment for achieving clarity and direction in your speaking.
You will leave the retreat with a clear vision for the next 6-12 months of your speaking, and a clear purpose and plan.
