Hi there! I’m Lisa Braithwaite, M. A., Public Speaking Coach, Trainer and Author. I’ve been coaching, training and mentoring entrepreneurs and professionals since 2005 to help them create memorable and engaging presentations in order to build their businesses through speaking.
Sometimes my clients are working on high-stakes presentations or workshops that will provide greater visibility in the world and a chance to get known for their work and their message.
Sometimes my clients are simply wanting to be seen and heard at their networking meetings in order to make a connection with their peers.
Some clients are already confident speakers and want to create a bigger empire; some clients are just starting out as speakers and are taking first steps to learn how to expand their outreach.
Some of my clients get paid for speaking, others speak in their jobs or for their business.
No matter what level you’re at in your speaking, there’s one thing that all speakers can benefit from: The connection and collaboration that comes from bringing our ideas to life in a group setting!
Speaking can be an isolated (and isolating) pursuit, and sometimes what we need is the perspective and creativity of a different environment and a powerhouse group of thinkers and doers to help us achieve that next level of growth.
Why visioning?
What do you want to achieve with your speaking in 2018? Grow your credibility as an expert in your field? Gain clients and fans? Promote your book, your program, your product? Create a new speech for a new audience? Refresh a languishing income stream? Repurpose your content into new offerings like e-books, webinars or live workshops?
In order to achieve the success that you’re seeking—as you define it—you must create a vision of that success. If you don’t know what you want, it’s going to be difficult to create a plan or a path to get there.
Now, I happen to believe that just creating a vision isn’t enough.
You have to take tangible actions that will lead you to that final destination. Creating a vision helps give you focus and direction; it reminds you of what you want and of what you don’t want, so you can avoid the distractions and “bright shiny objects” that lure you away from your path.
Sometimes it seems like there are endless possibilities and opportunities, and you don’t know how to choose or even how to narrow down your choices.
Creating a vision allows you to say “no” to those opportunities that don’t fit and it gives you a framework to narrow down the possibilities and make informed decisions.

The Strategic Speaking Visioning Retreat provides an intimate environment for achieving clarity and direction in your speaking.
There are only four spots available.
You will leave the retreat with a clear vision for the next 6-12 months of your speaking, and a clear purpose and plan.
You’ll create your vision through exercises, discussion and support, and you’ll brainstorm one of your biggest speaking goals or challenges with the group.
Stuck on a topic? Torn between niches? Need feedback on your slides or your delivery? Whatever you need, bring it and we’ll put the group to work masterminding each other’s project or problem.
Here’s what it looks like:
We’ll spend the morning on your vision. What do you need to do and who do you need to be to make your vision a reality? You’ll think bigger than you ever have before!
We’ll spend the afternoon on your challenges. Each attendee will get individual time for brainstorming and collaboration on your biggest speaking dilemma or problem.
Consider this group your own private mastermind. We will reconnect by videoconference two more times to stay accountable and get you ready for 2018. Dates TBD.

There will be plenty of tips and resources such as videos, audios, articles, downloads and blog posts, all set up on your private group page.
