Hello, my accomplished and experienced friend!

How's your job search going?

Looking for a job can be a daunting and stressful process. I know this because I made the decision to start my own business in 2005 after being laid off three times in four years! Ugh.

Maybe you're:

🔸job searching due to a layoff
🔸transitioning in your career to pursue a different passion or interest
🔸in a job you no longer enjoy or that doesn't align with your values

Whatever the reason, you're ready to take a big step and make your next move!

I'm here to help you approach your job search with greater ease and confidence, knowing that you have the communication tools and support you need to succeed.
Do you need to practice interviewing?

Could you be better at:

Articulating your skills, knowledge and accomplishments during an interview?

Describing your strengths and highlighting the value you would bring to your new role?

Do you need to build networking confidence?

Do you have confidence in:

Communicating and connecting with others in order to build a strong network for both job searching and ongoing business relationships?

Establishing rapport and building trust with people you meet in networking situations?

Do you need to get more comfortable on video?

Are you able to:

Appear confident and engaged on video?

"I'm 61 and I've been doing this thing we call Software Engineering for almost 30 years. In that time I have a very small group of people that I count in my inner circle of colleagues that I would jump at the chance to work for or work with again, so it takes a special person to crack that circle. I hope you will accept 'membership' into that circle.

The things we talked about clicked in for me and make complete sense to me. I was on my game throughout the interview process and didn't slip into any of my bad habits thanks to the work we did together (and watching my recordings ahead of the interviews!).

I look forward to having our paths cross again and will keep you updated on pertinent developments.

If you ever have a potential client that needs a reference, feel free to send them my way!"

Hi! I'm Lisa Braithwaite. I’ve been speaking, teaching, training and coaching for over 30 years.

My first six years of speaking on the job, back in the 90s, were spent in high school classrooms, teaching teenagers about domestic violence (my "trial by fire").

Before that, I got my master's degree in education.

Before that, I got a B.A. in theater.

Before that, I was on the speech team and performed in plays, dancing and singing groups.

And before that, I was just a kid who was a ham and loved to create performances for my parents and their friends.

Most importantly, though, my time as an advocate and trainer in the nonprofit sector and my educational degrees have influenced my upbeat, lighthearted, and accessible approach to public speaking coaching and  training.

I've provided workshops for organizations as diverse as Microsoft, NOAA, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and American Bus Association, and I've been interviewed in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and Toastmaster Magazine.

I'm also the author of Presenting for Humans: Insights for Speakers on Ditching Perfection and Creating Connection.

I'll be your biggest cheerleader and accountability partner to help you get out of your comfort zone and into the biggest, boldest, most confident version of YOU that you can be.
